1) Hitachi Seaside Park (国営ひたち海浜公園): Ibaraki Prefecture
Located in Ibaraki Prefecture, the park is one of Japan’s largest public parks. You can see beautiful flowers throughout the entire park. The color contrast between blue and purple are quite vivid. The park’s rapeseed flower field “Miharashi no Sato” has few traditional Japanese homes that match nicely with the scenery. You can see tulips in bloom during early May.

2) Hamarikyu Garden(浜離宮恩賜庭園): Tokyo Prefecture
The rapeseed flowers bloom at this park bloom earlier- you can enjoy the flowers from January to February. There are over 60,000 rapeseed flowers at this park, with Mount Fuji visible in the distance. It’s a renowned place that you won’t want to miss on a nice day.

3) Showa Memorial Park(昭和記念公園): Tokyo Prefecture
This large, public park is just an hour away from Tokyo Station by train. Visited annually by about 4,500,000 visitors, the park boasts beautiful cherry blossoms and tulips. You can even rent a Segway to ride around the park!

4) Gongendo Park(権現堂公園): Saitama Prefecture
The park has a magnificent, tree-lined path that goes on for about 1km. You can buy food and beverages at some food stands and enjoy a nice stroll.

6) Boso Flower Line(房総フラワーライン): Chiba Prefecture
The Boso Flower Line isn’t an enclosed park—it’s actually a scenic road that goes on for roughly 46km long. It’s a great place to visit if you can drive a car in Japan. The yellow rapeseed flower blossoms contrast nicely with the ocean blue in the background. Do stop by the nearby hot springs on your way home for a nice soak in the baths.

7) Isumi Railway(いすみ鉄道 沿線): Chiba Prefecture
Hop on board the Isumi Railway train to view the flowers as you travel through some scenic routes. It’s connected to the Kominato Railroad, so do get on board both trains if you have the chance.

8) Kominato Railway(小湊鉄道 沿線): Chiba Prefecture
As mentioned above, this railroad is connected to the Isumi Railroad, and a retro-looking train cars run through fields of flowers. You can even get off the train midway and walk along the route for a nice walk.
