1) Harmonica Yokocho (Harmonica Alley) in Kichijoji(吉祥寺)

Located at Kichijoji(吉祥寺) Station, this area is just 15 minutes away from Shinjuku, and 20 minutes away from Shibuya. Its background lies in post-WWII era in the late-1940s, when a market opened up in front of the ruined Kichijoji Station. There are close to 100 bars and eateries lined up in the alley.

Gyoza Min Min(餃子 みんみん)

One of the most popular restaurants in Harmonica Alley is Min Min(みんみん), which serves Japanese dumplings (餃子: gyoza) filled with juicy meat and vegetables. Served often with beer, Min Min’s gyozas are reasonably priced at 5 dumplings for 420 yen.

4) Underpass areas of Koenji(高円寺)

Motsu nabe is a Japanese hot pot dish made of offal (organ meats) of cows and pigs, and served in a lightly flavored soup. Kurara is famous for its beef motsu nabe with soy sauce-based soup. You can choose how spicy you want the soup to be, ranging from light, very spicy, to tom yum goong-flavored.
